Who We Are

The StabiLink® Interlaminar Fixation System was developed by Hugh F. Smisson III, MD, a practicing neurosurgeon who saw a gap in the operating room — patients who needed more than a decompression alone, but not the disruption of a full pedicle screw construct. What began as one surgeon's solution has since been used in more than 7,000 procedures, refined and improved along the way.

Southern Spine has spent a considerable amount of time perfecting StabiLink's "one of a kind" laminar fixation design, manufacturing, and surgical technique — building a clinical track record that includes independent CT review showing 90%+ verified fusion.* Now, with more than a decade of real-world use behind it, StabiLink is being brought to a broader market of physicians and patients nationwide.

Southern Spine is an ISO 13485:2016 certified manufacturer focused on delivering safe, efficient, and reliable solutions that support improved outcomes for surgeons and patients.
